FUTURE TECH: HOW ACCURATE ARE SCI-FI FILMS?

From flying cars to Mars travel, futuristic sci-fi movies have often excited our imaginations with the possibilities of advanced technology. As HUGE sci-fi buffs, internet provider Plusnet have examined the accuracy the movies to how close they are at correctly predicting the tech of the year they are set in. For instances in which movies are set beyond 2019 they have sought expert opinion on how likely the technology will be. Films they have explored include including Back To The Future (1985), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) and The Martian (2015) with A*-F grading on the accuracy of their predictions. Check out how well these movies fared in their blog article.
